Lately, I've been despairing about the quality of stuff available on craigslist here in Minneapolis. several bloggers in other parts of the country do round ups pretty regularly, full of awesome stuff for great prices. And while I've had my fair share of scores (upholstered headboard, campaign dresser, and hanging rattan chair, for example), the fabulousness seems few and far between.
So imagine my surprise today, when wading through the usual sea of bad photos and mattress ads, to find some great stuff. (It should be noted that I did not find even one of the three things I am looking for.) But check it out:
Bernhardt Campaign dresser set (chest, nightstand, and desk), $170. The chrome fittings are so unique! Here.
Glass and faux-bamboo coffee table, $5!!! (I want it). Here.
Flame-stitch couch, good lines. "Gone today, make offer," here.
Tall campaign dresser, $35. here.
Crazy headboard, $15. Paint it orange or cobalt blue. here
Pair of twin headboards, $10, here.
Hex side table, $12. I's paint this one, too. Maybe black? here.
Set of 4 Marcel Breuer-esque dining chairs, $25. here. (re-upholster, obviously).
mid-century low boy. $225 obo. Not great, but not bad if it's in good condition. Great lines. here.
mid-century dresser set (high boy, low boy with mirror), $150, here.
And a Heywood Wakefield credenza for $300. Here.
Asian-inspired desk and nightstand, $95. Here.
Betraying my love of rattan once more. I would reupholster the cushions in something bold. $120, here.
And then there are the gorgeous pieces form dealers. Not cheap, but priced well.
I remember looking for something along these lines when I was preparing the nursery the first time around. The closest I found was $600. Here.
mid-century caned king-sized headboard. I was just marveling at a similar one in Jasmine's bedroom on Parenthood. $270, here.
Hello, gorgeous. $1500, pick up in Iowa City. Here.
chrome and glass etagere, $1100, here. I have mostly seen these in brass- love the chrome.
leather chaise, $1800. Here.
Eames lounger, $450, here
Well, that was fun.
I've been eyeing a similar faux bamboo coffee table for way more than that! You should get it! I think it is Baker inspired if not Baker! I love that leather chaise too!

Oh I want that coffee table. Hmmmm....I might see if I can get it this weekend if it's still available. Who doesn't love bamboo?
