Evolution of a boy's room

Remember this little boy's room?

Here's the final design board.

The original rug was one they had--but when they hauled it up to the room, it was too thick to get the door open!  So with chartreuse out of the picture we went for a bold wall map (actually an inexpensive one from Pottery Barn kids) and grounded the floor with a grey rug, picking up the charcoal stripe in the zig zag chair.

Can't wait to see it all come together in the space!

  1. I have 2 little boys and have been thinking of ideas to make my oldest's a little bit more of a "big boy" room. I love the idea of the map. How much space does the one in this design take up? I've got a small space so might not be right if it was huge.

  2. Hi Michelle!
This one is about 9 feet tall by 13 feet wide, but comes in 5 panels, so it can be smaller.
There are also tons of great ones from art.com and others places that are about 4 feet by 6 feet.

    Have fun!
